Miao Pang

Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Rural Economy, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, Sichuan Province, China

Miao Pang is currently working in the Institute of Rural Economy, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences as a senior research fellow. Prior to this she was working in the Research Management Department of Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences. She specialises in forest resource management and is from the University of Philippines, Los Banos. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include rural community develop¬ment, rural environmental protection and forest economics. She has co-authored two books—Methodology Used in Rural Community Survey and Community-based Natural Resource Management. She was involved in a national project of social sciences titled ‘Ecologically-Vulnerable Communities’ Adaptation to Climate Change in Western China’ in 2012 and also in China’s national project of social sciences titled ‘Ecological Compensation in Post Era of Conversion Farmlands into Forestlands in China’ in 2010.
