Amalendu MISRA teaches at Lancaster University, UK and Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. He previously taught at University of Sussex and Queen’s University, Belfast. In addition, he has held visiting research professor’s position at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM), Universidad de Las Americas (UdLA), Puebla and El Colegio de Veracruz, Mexico. He is the author of five critically acclaimed books: Towards a Philosophy of Narco Violence in Mexico, London: Palgrave, 2017; The Landscape of Silence: Sexual Violence Against Men in War, London: Hurst, 2015; Politics of Civil Wars, New York: Routledge, 2008; Afghanistan: The Labyrinth of Violence, Cambridge: Polity, 2004; and Identity and Religion, New Delhi: Sage, 2004.
